Leon's wanted to become apart of Chinese families through a campaign that would celebrate Chinese New Year and strengthen the bond between Leon’s and the Chinese community.

Objective

We helped Leon's become engrained in the minds of the Chinese community through interactive web advertisements and TV commercials targeted towards their Cantonese and Mandarin consumers.

Insights

Similar to a heart emoji that expresses love, many traditional Chinese motifs and elements express prosperity, which is what Chinese New Year is all about.

Idea

We wished the Chinese community a prosperous Chinese New Year through symbols of prosperity, like the colours red and gold, the digit ‘8’, red-pocket, and the Chinese zodiac animal of 2019—the Pig.
